Happy Birthday Nick

Here is the birthday card I made for my husband Nick. It looks JUST like his 4 wheeler. He really liked it and I was SO happy since he doesn't really ever get excited about anything. That made me feel good. I hope you like!

Recipe:
Potpourri Basket cricut cartridge
Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder
Crop A Dile
Black marker
Recollection paper

Last Winter Design Team project

This WAS supposed to be my last project for the Winter Design Team over at Inking it up Crazy. Unfortunately, I forgot to send this over to Kassidy in time. I do apologize. It was a busy weekend for my husbands birthday. I am also getting old and absent minded. It makes me feel so bad that I forgot. Anyway, I hope you like my altered project here. I took a glass jar and covered it up and Stampin up paper. I did some faux stictching and tied some ribon around the top. I hope this gives you some great ideas. I hope you all have a fabulous Monday. :)

You and Me

Here is a card I did a few days ago using my sister-in-laws Sweethearts cartridge. I used my new fiskars border punch. I really like it. It was a fun day making cards with my sister-in-law and we did some shopping at Michael's. I used my X-Mas red stickles on the hearts on the tree and some faux stitching around the heart. I of course used my i-rock tool for the glam rocks at the bottom. I hope you like. I am getting excited for next weekend for our blog hop and I can't wait for you all to see what I made. :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #57

I just got this card done for the Cricut Cardz Challenge. The theme was to do anything using only red, black and white. I thought about what I was going to do all day at work. I cut out the heart from my Love Struck cartridge. I embossed the red background with my hearts cuttlebug folder. I used my alphabet stamps from Stampin Up for my sentiment. Then I used some red stickles to glitter a heart for a little extra bling. Lastly, some faux stitching, rhinestones and white sheer ribbon. Cricut Cardz does some really neat challenges and I am glad to I had the chance to enter another challenge with them. The DT members projects are amazing!!!! Please check them out at http://cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/. I hope you enjoy!

Happy Birthday to my Kimberly

Friday is my girl Kimberly's birthday! We have been friends for 10 years now and she is like my long lost sister. We used to have some FUN times together. So, I cut this cute cupcake out from my new Straight from the Nest cartridge. It's such a GREAT cartridge and I can't wait to make some more things from it. I was in a hurry to get this one done tonight so I could mail it tomorrow. So, a little faux stitching around the card and the cupcake and I used my glossy accents on the cherry. I feel like it's missing something, but I can't stay up all night trying to figure it out. hehe. I am entering in this card for the FCCB Challenge me #43 something sweet at
http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-me-monday-43.html. Anyway, I hope you like it. Here's to a GREAT week!!!!!

Nemo side stair step card

Here is my first side step card. I CAN learn something new this year. I have had this card stuck in my head for a few days. It didn't turn out exactly the way I imagined but pretty close. I used my new Best of Pixar cartridge and I am really enjoying it. I cut out the scallop from my Storybook cartridge and embossed it with my cuttlebug dots. I stickled the plants with my Patina stickles and Starry Night stickles. I chalked the seashells and faux stitched Peal the Octopus. I added some glam rocks with my I-rock too! I really hope you like this. I am still amazed that I made this right now. I am going to teach my friend Sandee how to do this and I am sure I will show my sister-in-law too! Having a blast here at home today. It's my day off and I have been in my craft room all day! I wished I could do that for a living, but hey, someone has to pay the bills. :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #56

YAY! I finally did a New Year's card. Only for a fabulous challenge though! So far this year is going alright! I cut this clock from my new Nifty Fifties cartridge. I used a glam rock with my I-Rock tool for the middle of the clock hands. I cut the 2011 from my Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I chalked the numbers and did some faux stitching around my card in my white gel pen. I am excited to enter this in my first challenge at http://cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com. Please be sure to check their blog out. While you're here, please check out my blog and I would love it if you would follow me. Having a great day at home today!!! Watching out Texas snow melt. :(

Challenge #42 Winter Warmies

I made this cute guy from my Create a Critter cartridge. I cut out the hat from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. I flocked the hat and I used glossy accents on the nose and feet. I used some glam rocks in the background with my favorite I-Rock tool. I think this guy is pretty cute for nice chili day outside. Our snow here in Texas is melting and I am so glad I got to stay home today and make cards and enjoy the beautiful snow. It's truly a blessing. I am glad to be able to be a part of the FCCB challenge once again. Be sure to check Fantabulous Cricut out here at

SNOW in Texas!!!!!!

Welcome back snow! We haven't seen any since last year and that was a blessing! We typically NEVER get snow. It's always sleet and ice and it makes for the worst driving weather. This has been an amazing day watching this weather. It is such a shame that it will not last. This is the start of our cold weather here. 70 degrees yesterday and snow today. Highs in the 30's all week and lows in the 20's and teens. This does make me want to take a trip to Colorado later this year. We shall see. I did make a card today and I am just waiting on it to dry. I will post it later. I can't wait for everyone to see. Time to go look out the window again!!!! :)

Dory Card

Nothing special but I was in a hurry. I wanted to cut something out of my new Best of Pixar cartridge SO bad. So, here is Ms. Dory. I just wrote out the Just Keep Swimming part. They should have added that phrase to this cartridge. Now I will have that song stuck in my head while I sleep tonight. I am going to LOVE this cartridge! I hope you all get a kick out of this one. Goodnight!

Turtle Card

Here is my cute little turtle card. I made this one last night after a very long weekend. I thank my brother for sending me a picture of the sunrise Sunday morning to help inspire me to make this card. I LOVE the beach SO much and I just had to make this turtle. I cut the turtle out at 3 1/2 inches on my Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. The frame for this card has waves on it. I cut out the waves on two frames to make one solid wave and added it to the bottom of my card. I chalked around my seashells, used glossy accent on the bubbles and stickled my little friend here. I hope you all can find something to cut out from your Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I would love to see them if you feel like making something. Here is the recipe for the card:
DCWV texture paper
recollection paper
craft paper
Martha Stewart pigment ink
Stickles - Patina
White gel pen
dark brown Color Chalk
Glossy accent
Dots stamp by Judith
Happy Monday everyone! Big thanks to Kassidy at Inkingitupcrazy.blogspot.com. I am so proud to be a part of her Winter Design team. :)
