Bubba's Beer Mug

This was my Christmas Eve night project. I used my Make the Cut program that I am not very good at yet and just typed out Bubbas Beer. I cut it out on vinyl and pulled the letters out, leaving the other part as my stencil. I had my husband put it on transfer tape for me. Then I put it on the mug and rubbed it to get all the air bubbles out and to make sure it was on the mug really good. Then I pulled off the transfer tape and my stencil was stuck to the mug. I took my etching cream and put it over the letters. You have to put it on there pretty thick. You wait about a minute and then wash it off. I dried it and pulled the stencil off. It was like magic. The letters were etched and it turned out SO good. I could not wait to give this to my brother. He really liked it. I will have to make him a Texas Longhorn next time.

Last minute Christmas cards and ornament

It's been a crazy busy month and I have about lost my mind. I had to rush and put these 3 cards together for 3 awesome ladies at work who are always there for me. The only thing I did not get done last night was the mug I am doing for my bubba. I am just trying to use the MTC program and cut out the Texas Longhorns logo so I can etch it on the mug. I probably will have it done tomorrow. No more work until Monday anyway. Oh, so I cut the peppermint from the Simply Charmed cartridge and wrapped it in cellophane paper and tied ribbons on each end. I thought it turned out pretty neat. I remembered my sister in law gave me some metal aluminum sheets of every color. I cut them down with my scissors and not sure if I ruined my scissors by doing this. I guess I will find out. I embossed the blue sheet in my snowflake embossing folder by QuicKutz. Then I cut out the snowman from the Doodlecharms cartridge and I used my 3D effects to accent his nose. I thought he needed a hat so I cut out a santa hat from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. And for the Santa card, I embossed the green metal sheet with the divine swirl cuttlebug emobssing folder. I cut the santa head out from the Doodlecharms cartridge and I only flocked his mustache and the ball on this hat. Then I used 3D effects to accent his nose. WHEW did this wear me out. Then I just HAD to get an ornament done for my Stampin up girl Lisa and I could NOT make one right. I made the biggest mess and after the 2nd ornament, this is all I could do. I used Pledge floor shine and some red chunky craft glitter. I used my super sticky tape on the outside which are not perfect and used my Martha Steward fine silver glitter. Then I added some crystal rhinestones and some silver tinsel ribbon for a bow. I am SO happy the girls loved them today. I wished I could have done more. I was up until midnight and I got up at 4:30am today. I am so glad I made it through today. I am headed to my Dad's tomorrow to spend Christmas Eve with him. Then Christmas Day is at my house this year with my husbands family in the morning and then lunch and then dinner with my mom, my bubba & Mandy and my sister and nephew. My husband will be frying 2 turkeys. I can't wait to see all my family and a very blessed Christmas. I hope all of you out there has a wonderful and most fabulous Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas cards

Here are the other 3 cards that were part of my 20 mail outs this year. The snowman is from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. Mr. Gingerbread is from Stretch your imagination cartridge and Rudy is from the Doodlecharms cartridge. These were so fun to make and I really kept them simple this year but they look SO much better this year than last year. I am proud of myself and I am glad I got these done so fast. Time to get motivated to make a few more cards for my close friends at work. I will have to work on some ideas. Christmas is almost here. YAY!!!!!

Santa Card

I'm BACK! Now that everyone is getting the cards I made, I decided to post them this week. Here is the first one. I used the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge. I embossed the green background with my christmas tree cuttlebug embossing folder. I stickled the top of the santa hat with my diamond stickles. Then I added the Happy Holidays with a clear stamp I got at Joann's last year and chalked the red circle with my white ink pad. This was one of the 20 cards I made right after Thanksgiving and I finished them up on the 4th. Hope you enjoy this cute guy and I can't wait to see what Santa brings me! Hehe.

Reindeer Cheer Card

Surprise! This is my first card that I made being a part of the Winter Design Team for Inking it up Crazy. Most of you probably know Kassidy at Inking it up Crazy http://www.inkingitupcrazy.blogspot.com/. She has a fabulous blog and picked me as part of the Winter DT and I am still shocked about it. I saw the other DT members projects and WOW, they are ALL so Fabulous!!!!! I am so excited to be a part of this and can't wait to see what else we will be doing. Lots of fun and good times ahead.

We were asked to design a project using a snowflake as part of it. So, I made this a pretty big card. It's about 7 x 6. I wanted my snowflakes to be big and before I knew it I had a big card. The pattern paper was given to me last year, so I am not certain who it's by. I am glad I found it to use though. I cut the oval out from the Storybook cartridge on textured DCWV paper and then embossed it with the divine swirl cuttlebug embossing folder. I cut the reindeer out from the Christmas cheer cartridge at about 4 inches. The snowflakes are also from the Christmas cheer cartridge but I only used 3 instead of the 4. I added crystal snow to the snowflakes and put a rhinestone in the middle of the snowflakes. I used my cinnamon stickles on the antlers of the reindeer and Christmas red stickles on the collar of the reindeer. I used my black marker to highlight the mouth, eyes, eyebrows and ears of the reindeer. This was such a fun card to make and it was hard keeping it is secret for 2 days. I hope you like it as much as I do. :)

Christmas Cheer Ornaments card

Here is ONE of the 12 cards I have gotten done this week. I have 8 more to go this week. I am feeling better about getting them done. I just cut the ornaments out from the Christmas Cheer cartridge on DCWV paper. I used my holly, diamond and Christmas red stickles on the ornaments. I didn't want to use the hooks that I cut out so I just tired white sheer ribbon around the ornaments. I embossed the background with my divine swirl cuttlebug embossing folder and added a few rhinestones. Tada and I am moving on! I have entered this card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #38 Ribbon Challenge at http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2010/11/challenge-me-monday-38.html. Their design team has some fabulous projects and everyone who as entered the challenge already also have fabulous projects. I also entered this in the Cooking with Cricut Challenge, "its beginning to look like Christmas" at http://cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com/ and their design team also ROCKS. Have a great rest of your week everyone!
