Summer Theme Layout Challenge

Happy Monday! It was such a busy day for me that I did not have time to post this for you all sooner. BUT, this is my first post for my new DT that I am a part of for Queen of My Craftroom. I really had fun making this layout. As some of you may know, I am a HUGE fan of the beach and love getting down to Corpus Christi, TX every summer. We may not have the BEST beaches in Texas but I don't have to leave the state to get to the beach. It's really fabulous. Of course, when I am not at the beach during the summer, I am in the pool. :) I hope you like my layout. So, head over to Queen of My Craftroom's blog and join the challenge. Can't wait to see everyone's.

Operation Write Home - Thank you Challenge

Today is Operation Write Home Day.

Kassidy from Inking It Up Crazy paired up with We R Memory Keepers to make and send cards to the troops that they can write on and send home.

Today there will be all different challenges and giveaways at Inking Up Crazy and the best part is that all the cards are going to be sent to the troops to use to send home!

I was asked to make a Thank You card. This was supposed to be easy for me, but I found out it was harder then I thought. Everything I came up with just looked all wrong. But, I still made something cute and hope that it will work just fine for the troops.

Recipe:
Storybook Cartridge
My Mind's Eye Paper
Recollections Paper
Kraft Paper
Dark brown Colorbox chalk

I hope you like my card and I hope whoever ends up with it will like it too. This was really fun to do and I am excited to be a part of it.

You can participate too! Please visit Inking it Up Crazy to read the rules and see all the challenges! You don't want to miss out on this. I am having a great day and it's time to get busy with more crafting. Have a fabulous Saturday!!!!

Kassidy's Birthday Bash Day - Layout project

It's another day of Kassidy's Birthday Bash over at Inking it Up Crazy. She asked a few of us to make a layout project. So, be sure to check out her blog to see what she will be giving away!!!!

This is my big, spoiled, baby dog Lucky. He loves to sleep on pillows. Lucky will be 7 years old in September. My sister brought him home when he was just a puppy and hid him in her closet so our Mom wouldn't find out. The first time I held him in my arms, I fell in love with him. When my sister stopped paying attention to him, my Mom tried to take care of him, while I moved out into my own house. Not much later, Mom brought him over to come live with me. He has been the best dog I have ever had. He is so smart too. He is part sheltie and part collie (we think). I could not imagine my live without him. I hope you like my spoiled baby layout. Happy Friday everyone!!!!

Beach Layout - Inking It Up Crazy Design Team project

I decided to make my layout beach themed. This was really a challenge for me. It is so hard to do a layout after making cards for awhile. I am glad that my design team sister Erika got me this paper. This really gave me the inspiration I needed. This is where my husband and I like to go every summer, Corpus Christi, TX and Port Aransas, TX. These are not the "best" beaches in the world, but I don't have to leave Texas to go to the beach. We have an amazing design team at Inking it Up Crazy. Please be sure to check out their wonderful projects. Then, I would love to see you enter the challenge and make your own layout. Have a great Wednesday!!!!
