Bubba's Beer Mug

This was my Christmas Eve night project. I used my Make the Cut program that I am not very good at yet and just typed out Bubbas Beer. I cut it out on vinyl and pulled the letters out, leaving the other part as my stencil. I had my husband put it on transfer tape for me. Then I put it on the mug and rubbed it to get all the air bubbles out and to make sure it was on the mug really good. Then I pulled off the transfer tape and my stencil was stuck to the mug. I took my etching cream and put it over the letters. You have to put it on there pretty thick. You wait about a minute and then wash it off. I dried it and pulled the stencil off. It was like magic. The letters were etched and it turned out SO good. I could not wait to give this to my brother. He really liked it. I will have to make him a Texas Longhorn next time.

Last minute Christmas cards and ornament

It's been a crazy busy month and I have about lost my mind. I had to rush and put these 3 cards together for 3 awesome ladies at work who are always there for me. The only thing I did not get done last night was the mug I am doing for my bubba. I am just trying to use the MTC program and cut out the Texas Longhorns logo so I can etch it on the mug. I probably will have it done tomorrow. No more work until Monday anyway. Oh, so I cut the peppermint from the Simply Charmed cartridge and wrapped it in cellophane paper and tied ribbons on each end. I thought it turned out pretty neat. I remembered my sister in law gave me some metal aluminum sheets of every color. I cut them down with my scissors and not sure if I ruined my scissors by doing this. I guess I will find out. I embossed the blue sheet in my snowflake embossing folder by QuicKutz. Then I cut out the snowman from the Doodlecharms cartridge and I used my 3D effects to accent his nose. I thought he needed a hat so I cut out a santa hat from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. And for the Santa card, I embossed the green metal sheet with the divine swirl cuttlebug emobssing folder. I cut the santa head out from the Doodlecharms cartridge and I only flocked his mustache and the ball on this hat. Then I used 3D effects to accent his nose. WHEW did this wear me out. Then I just HAD to get an ornament done for my Stampin up girl Lisa and I could NOT make one right. I made the biggest mess and after the 2nd ornament, this is all I could do. I used Pledge floor shine and some red chunky craft glitter. I used my super sticky tape on the outside which are not perfect and used my Martha Steward fine silver glitter. Then I added some crystal rhinestones and some silver tinsel ribbon for a bow. I am SO happy the girls loved them today. I wished I could have done more. I was up until midnight and I got up at 4:30am today. I am so glad I made it through today. I am headed to my Dad's tomorrow to spend Christmas Eve with him. Then Christmas Day is at my house this year with my husbands family in the morning and then lunch and then dinner with my mom, my bubba & Mandy and my sister and nephew. My husband will be frying 2 turkeys. I can't wait to see all my family and a very blessed Christmas. I hope all of you out there has a wonderful and most fabulous Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas cards

Here are the other 3 cards that were part of my 20 mail outs this year. The snowman is from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. Mr. Gingerbread is from Stretch your imagination cartridge and Rudy is from the Doodlecharms cartridge. These were so fun to make and I really kept them simple this year but they look SO much better this year than last year. I am proud of myself and I am glad I got these done so fast. Time to get motivated to make a few more cards for my close friends at work. I will have to work on some ideas. Christmas is almost here. YAY!!!!!

Santa Card

I'm BACK! Now that everyone is getting the cards I made, I decided to post them this week. Here is the first one. I used the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge. I embossed the green background with my christmas tree cuttlebug embossing folder. I stickled the top of the santa hat with my diamond stickles. Then I added the Happy Holidays with a clear stamp I got at Joann's last year and chalked the red circle with my white ink pad. This was one of the 20 cards I made right after Thanksgiving and I finished them up on the 4th. Hope you enjoy this cute guy and I can't wait to see what Santa brings me! Hehe.

Reindeer Cheer Card

Surprise! This is my first card that I made being a part of the Winter Design Team for Inking it up Crazy. Most of you probably know Kassidy at Inking it up Crazy http://www.inkingitupcrazy.blogspot.com/. She has a fabulous blog and picked me as part of the Winter DT and I am still shocked about it. I saw the other DT members projects and WOW, they are ALL so Fabulous!!!!! I am so excited to be a part of this and can't wait to see what else we will be doing. Lots of fun and good times ahead.

We were asked to design a project using a snowflake as part of it. So, I made this a pretty big card. It's about 7 x 6. I wanted my snowflakes to be big and before I knew it I had a big card. The pattern paper was given to me last year, so I am not certain who it's by. I am glad I found it to use though. I cut the oval out from the Storybook cartridge on textured DCWV paper and then embossed it with the divine swirl cuttlebug embossing folder. I cut the reindeer out from the Christmas cheer cartridge at about 4 inches. The snowflakes are also from the Christmas cheer cartridge but I only used 3 instead of the 4. I added crystal snow to the snowflakes and put a rhinestone in the middle of the snowflakes. I used my cinnamon stickles on the antlers of the reindeer and Christmas red stickles on the collar of the reindeer. I used my black marker to highlight the mouth, eyes, eyebrows and ears of the reindeer. This was such a fun card to make and it was hard keeping it is secret for 2 days. I hope you like it as much as I do. :)

Christmas Cheer Ornaments card

Here is ONE of the 12 cards I have gotten done this week. I have 8 more to go this week. I am feeling better about getting them done. I just cut the ornaments out from the Christmas Cheer cartridge on DCWV paper. I used my holly, diamond and Christmas red stickles on the ornaments. I didn't want to use the hooks that I cut out so I just tired white sheer ribbon around the ornaments. I embossed the background with my divine swirl cuttlebug embossing folder and added a few rhinestones. Tada and I am moving on! I have entered this card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #38 Ribbon Challenge at http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2010/11/challenge-me-monday-38.html. Their design team has some fabulous projects and everyone who as entered the challenge already also have fabulous projects. I also entered this in the Cooking with Cricut Challenge, "its beginning to look like Christmas" at http://cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com/ and their design team also ROCKS. Have a great rest of your week everyone!

Birthday Fishes Card

This is the card I made for my Mama's birthday on Friday. She loves to fish and I really thought she would like this. I spent time with her on Sunday and she is doing great. She really looks great too. I cut out this cute little fish and the pole from the Simply Charmed cartridge and I stitched the reel and the fish with my black marker. The water is from the Life's a Beach cartridge that I used my white gel pen to give it some detail and the scallop is from the Storybook cartridge. I stamped the Birthday Fishes on there with my Stampin Up alphabet set. I rushed home to get this one done. I am dropping it in the mail tomorrow. I can't wait to hear how she likes it. I HAVE been really busy with decorating the front yard and the house and working on 20 Christmas cards that I am trying to get done this week. I will have more posted soon. Please enjoy this silly fish.

Thank EWE Card

Here is my Thank you card I got made tonight for one of my husbands co-workers. I used the Just Because Cards to cut everything out. I embossed the Ewe with my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder and I used some purple hot rocks with my I-Rock tool on the EWE. Not bad for a simple card. It didn't take me long at all. I was able to get the house cleaned up for Thanksgiving tomorrow as well. I still can't believe tomorrow's high will be 44 and it was almost 80 today. I am ready to decorate the house for Christmas this weekend too! Then I will be ready to start working on Christmas cards and whatever else I can. Yippie!!!!!

Mr. Snowman and Little Elf cards

These are the ONLY 2 cards I got done tonight. My goal was 5. Every card I tried to make I kept messing up. I have REALLY been tired today and have had a lot on my mind. I am giving my Aunt Kay these 2 cards to take to her craft booth at First Monday. I have 3 more cards that I have already made that can go with them. The snowman stamp is from Stamps by Judith along with the white dots on the red cut out. The paper is one of my DCWV Christmas paper stacks. I colored the snowman with my JoAnn markers and used glossy accents on his nose and the red bird. I flocked the the tail of the bunny at the bottom of the snowman. I cut the shape behind the snowman from the Storybook cartridge. Then I used my white gel pen to stitch around it. The Elf card is an old 2000 Stampin Up stamp. I watercolored the Elf and then cut him out with my oval spellbinder. I should have cut the oval out first. I clearly was not thinking. I chalked around the Elf oval and cut out a bigger oval and embossed it with my cuttlebug swiss dots folder. The paper is the same DCWV Christmas paper stack. I stamped the red paper with my dots from Stamps by Judith and then added some glam rocks that I used my I-Rock tool on. I am so glad they are done so I can go to bed on time. It's been a very long day and I hope you will enjoy these cute cards.

Reindeer Invites

My Christmas party invites are done! I cut out the card from the new seasonal Christmas Cards cartridge. I cut out the oval on DCWV paper from the Storybook cartridge. I cut out the Reindeer of course from the Create a Critter cartridge. He was SUPER fun to make. The banner was cut from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. I ran to the store to find me a You're invited stamp and I found the perfect one and it was the perfect size. I stamped the background of the card with my dots from Stamps by Judith. Now, you can't really see it, but I flocked the antlers and the feet on the Reindeer in brown. I used my white gel pen to stitch around the card for a finishing touch. This little guy is too cute! Everyone needs to make this guy. I hope you enjoy!

Snowflake card

I was up late making this card. I wanted to make this card for my Christmas party invites. I was not too happy with the way the snowflake cut out. Maybe it's time to change my blade on my cricut again. I used my gypsy to cut out the snowflake from the Christmas Solutions cartridge at about 4 3/4 inches. The card was cut from my Wild Cards cartridge at 5 inches. Then I cut the circle from my Storybook cartridge at 4 3/4 inches on my Christmas paper from DCWV. I rubbed red chalk around the outside of the card. I rubbed glue on top of the chalk and glittered it with red glitter. WAY messy! I took my stampendous crystal snow and used it on the snowflake and then added a little iridescent glitter on top of the snow. I used blue glam rocks with my I-Rock tool on the background and red ribbon and red tinsel ribbon for the top. I like this one ok but I don't think I will use this for my invites afterall. I am going to try something else. I plan on getting my invites done THIS weekend. I just can't think of the perfect idea right now. I hope you like anyway!

Cupcake Scallop card

I was up very late last night trying to finish this card. I made this for one of my childhood friends. Her birthday is Saturday. I really needed to make this super cute to cheer her up. She is really sick. She has been battling Lupus her whole life. She went into remission in high school. Since being out of school, she has been sick off and on. Now the doctor's are running out of treatments that will actually work for her. I am praying she will pull through this and get to feeling better soon. I have been very emotional the last 2 days just thinking about her and then thinking about my mom who is fighting Cancer and then thinking about my father-in-law that I lost to Cancer 3 years ago. It's really been a tough year and I am so thankful for my family and friends and the time I am able to spend with them. SO, I messed up this card and it took me 3 times to get it right. I was so tired and could not focus. The card if cut from my Wild Cards Cartridge. I cut the circle out from my Storybook Cartridge and I embossed it with the cuttlebug divine swirl embossing folder. I cut the cupcake out from the Simply Charmed Cartridge. I used my red stickles on the cherry and on the cupcake wrapper. I used my white gel pen on the cupcake and around the card for some detail. My hand was really shaky and tired. It took me forever again to tie a bow with this ribbon. I decided to go with red sheer ribbon. And I added some glam rocks with my I-Rock tool to the embossed circle. This card does make me smile when I see it. Of course after reading all of this, it makes me sad. I am trying not to let this get to me. I hope you like this card and I hope it makes you smile.

Penguin Jump Rope card

I colored this stamp with my new Copic markers. I only have a few of them right now. I TOTALLY understand why they cost so much. These markers are so wonderful. I have no idea how I will teach myself on blending different colors together, but I will get there one day. I put glossy accents on the light bulbs and glam rocks on the hats and I flocked the hats also. I really like this ribbon I picked up from Michael's; however, making the bow took me forever. I think I got it after the 5th time. Crazy bow! The best part was just coloring these guys. Hope you like!

Get Whale Soon Card

This is a card for my Mama. She has been going through a lot the last few months and I wanted to make her a cute card to cheer her up. I cut this out from my Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge. I used stickles glitter glue on the whale. I kept it simple for my mom. My mom is a simple gal. But I thought it was really cute. I am going to enter this in the Challenge me Monday #36 over at http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2010/11/challenge-me-monday-36.html. The design team over there made some Fabulous cards and such. I can't wait to see more. I am exhausted! I must get to bed and try to make something else this week. Sigh....and goodnight!

Dad's Christmas Cards

I was VERY busy today. My Dad had asked if I could make him some cards to send out this year. A few days later, he said he was coming to pick them up today. In a panic mode, I sat down in my craft room and got busy. I had no idea what I was doing and this is what I came up with. I really love them all. I use all of my new DCWV paper and my recollections paper. I used the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge for the ornaments, the stocking and the candy cane. I used my white gel pen and my silver gel pen to add some details. I used the Cuttlebug Christmas tree embossing folder and the Quickutz snowflake embossing folder. I was so happy to see my Dad today and he loved these cards. I am SO ready to enter one of these cards in to the Cooking with Cricut Holiday Blog Hop. This is an awesome blog hop with fabulous giveways and getting to see everyone else's projects. Check it out at http://cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com/2010/11/holiday-blog-hop-day1.html
I hope you enjoy these cards as much as I did making them today.

Snow People Card

Ok. I am SO happy with this card. I was so disappointed in my last snowman card and it I could not stop worrying about it all day. I took my stamps to work and all I had time to do is to stamp the snow people. So, after my long hard day at work, I came home and got out my colorless snow people. I dragged a bag full of my craft supplies into the living room and started coloring. I actually water colored this. I am not very good at it yet and I was really out of practice. It turned out ok though. I ran back to my craft room and cut out the red shape behind the snow people with my Storybook cartridge. I embossed the green paper right behind the snow people with the candy cane stripe cuttlebug embossing folder and rubbed my red lipstick chalk over it. I used glossy accents to the cheeks and to the coals on the snow people for a 3D look. I flocked the hat on the 3rd snow person with my white Martha Stewart flock. I used my stickles and some snow glitter on the snowflakes around the snow people. And last but not least, I used my white gel pen and stitched around the red. This card really cheered me up. My emotions have been running SO high today. I hope I can make some more cards at least this good.

Snowman Card

Ok! This is the 3rd time trying to upload this image correctly. But, really, this snowman is cute. The rest of the card is not so great. I just don't have any ideas right now. Or I have forgotten how to stamp. Or I am just tired and it's really been a long day. So, cute but not too great. If you like it, then great. Maybe that will make me feel better. This is my snowman stamp from Stamps by Judith. I colored them with my JoAnn craft essential markers and put some gloss over the light blubs to make them look 3D although it's hard to see in this picture. I am really going to have to sleep on this one and try, try again.

Happy Scarecrow Card

Happy Fall! I finished my little scarecrow I had to cut out from the Simply Charmed cartridge that my wonderful sister-in-law let me borrow. I really want this cartridge SO bad! It's one of my favorites from the new cartridges out there. I of course used my jelly roll pen in silver, white and gold. Orange and Yellow glam rocks and glitter of course. I also cut the circles out with my Storybook cartridge and then used my divine swirl cuttlebug embossing folder for the green circle. I hope you like him as much as I do. I just entered him in the following challenges.

Reindeer Card

Here is the Christmas card I made yesterday using the stamp Dasher by Stampin Up. I used the heat and stick embossing powder and glittered him. It's so sparkly and shiny. Simple but pretty. It's a start but I have a long way to go to get some Christmas cards done. It's time to Dash away and get busy.

Stampin Up Birthday Cards

I made these yesterday at my friend Lisa's house. I used the Party Hearty Stampin Up stamps. This is just what I needed to finish my birthday cards up. I really like the new Concord Crush color with Stampin Up. It is one of the new in colors and looks great with the other in color Pear Pizzazz. I didn't have very many supplies so I used what I could. Hope you enjoy.

Baby Monkey card

I can't remember if I posted this or not. If so, I couldn't find it on here. This was the welcome baby card I made for my nephew who was born on Oct. 17 and he is 3 weeks old tomorrow. A cute little monkey for my little Jackson. I cute the scallops out with my Storybook cartridge and the monkey and vine from my Create a Critter cartridge. I stamped the background with my dots stamp by Judith and my Stampin Up star stamps for the 4th of July set. Not much more to it than that. This little monkey is so cute.

Simply Charmed cake card

I borrowed this cartridge from my sister-in-law and finally cut something out. This is a birthday card for my Stampin Up gal Lisa. I didn't do much but use my turquoise glitter glue on the candles, used my white gel pen and hot rocks for some details. I also embossed the background with the Happy Birthday cuttlebug embossing folder. My brain has been in overload all day from thinking and thinking about all the cards I have to make and how I am going to do it all. This is all I could get done tonight. I am exhausted. I think this card is really growing on me. Hope you like.

Birthday Catch Card

I cut out this fish from the potpourri basket cartridge that I borrowed from my very good friend. This was made for my other good friend's husbands birthday yesterday. I used my turquoise stickles to add some color and bling to this fish. I used my white gel pen to add details to the fish also. I took some metal wire and made a hook out of it and tied some twine at the end. I stamped my favorite dots stamp from Judith Stamps on the background and used my Stampin Up letters for the sentiment. A few brads to tie in the metal element and you have a manly birthday card for a guy who loves to fish. I thought I got the colors right and this card is really growing on me. Of course, I am totally adding this to GETTING CRICKY's CARTRIDGE CHALLENGE: BOYISH CHARMS at http://kandrewdesigns.blogspot.com/.

Hatchetman Card

So, this was a card I got made for my friends 15 year old son. He is into some really crazy rock bands and likes the Hatchetman logo. I cut the image out on MTC and embossed the background with the spots and dots cuttlebug embossing folder. I used my red chalk to chalk around the edges. I left it that. What 15 year old boy wants glitter or rhinestones? I stamped congrats on the inside. He has been doing an excellent job in school already this year and he deserved this. I was so excited to hear how cool he thought the card was. I guess I did ok. I added this crazy card to http://kandrewdesigns.blogspot.com/ for the GETTING CRICKY's CARTRIDGE CHALLENGE: BOYISH CHARMS.

Shark Card

This is the shark card I made for my brother's birthday. My husband and I went to the beach with my brother and sister-in-law in August and my brother caught his first shark. He was out on an 8hr boat ride with a group of other fishermen. He didn't get a picture of his shark and they are only allowed to keep one per boat, so he had to set it free. I thought this would be perfect for him and I was hoping it wasn't TOO cute for him. I used my friends Life is a Beach cartridge for the shark and the waves. I used my Storybook cartridge to cut out the scallop oval and then I embossed it with my divine swirl cuttlebug embossing folder. I used my black stickles for the black border around the shark. I chalked the waves in white and added a little detail to the waves with my gel pen. I stamped the background with my dots stamp by Judith. The perfect touch was the fishing lure my mom gave me to add to this card. I am really happy with this card and I am so glad my brother loved it. I will have to out-do myself next year though. Hope you enjoy. Happy November!

Also, I entered this card in the GETTING CRICKY's CARTRIDGE CHALLENGE: BOYISH CHARMS at http://kandrewdesigns.blogspot.com/. Wish me luck and conrats to whoever wins!!!!

Baby onsie

This is the onsie I got made for my nephew Jackson to wear today to support my mother in the Colon Cancer walk. The walk was held in Dallas at White Rock Lake. There was a record number of 700 people this year. Our team raised $800 and had a great time doing this even though it was chilly this morning. Everyone has been so kind and supportive. My mother is a fighter and everyone's prayers are helping us all get through this tough time. I am SO fortunate to have so many wonderful friends and family members. I got this iron on t-shirt vinyl in glitter navy blue at http://www.craftvinyl.com/. This is a first for me. Hope you enjoy!

Flying Witch Card and Cat Card

I can post these 2 cards now. The witch was for my friend Nicole and the cat was for my sister-in-law Mandy. I hope they are both enjoying them. These both were so fun to make and keep them hidden until I could get them mailed out. The Happy Hauntings cartridge makes me very happy.

It has been SO much fun making these cards this year. Hope everyone enjoys.
